Before entering seminary, Pastor Tami Recob received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Vincennes University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Management, both from Oakland City University. She had worked in the personal, S-Corporation, and payroll tax field for 15 years. During part of this tenure, she was also a church secretary for 5 ½ years and a youth leader of a large rural youth program. It was during this time as youth leader, Pastor Tami felt a call to ministry. In August 2011, Tami enrolled in Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and began the long road towards a Master of Divinity. While it took 4 years, the birth of a child mid-semester, 2 cars, and commuting over 100,000 miles, she finally graduated with honors holding a 3.7 GPA. After seminary in May 2015, Pastor Tami enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program through Deaconess Health Systems in Evansville, IN where she completed 5 units of chaplain residency education. After completion of the program, she was ordained and installed in December 2016 to Hemenway Memorial Presbyterian Church located in Boonville, Indiana for a 4 year designated call.
Since then, Tami served a church in Michigan for 4 years as Senior Pastor and Head of Staff before venturing back to Louisville. In February 2024, Tami became the pastor here at Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church where she looks forward to furthering the work and ministry of the Church with a joyful and happy heart.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve as Music Director at Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church and am passionate about using music to enhance worship and create a meaningful spiritual experience for the congregation. I had the privilege of receiving a piano scholarship to attend the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2010 with my B.A. in Music & Liberal Arts. In my spare time I enjoy hiking outdoors, reading, meditation and yoga. I am excited to collaborate with our choir, worship team and contribute to the church’s music ministry. My goal is to help foster a deep sense of community and connection through the power of music.
